Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti of BJP has ignited a controversy by making a derogatory comment showcasing Hindutva agenda. She said Muslims and Christians are son of Ram and those who do not believe in this don't believe in India. This is not the first time that leaders of the BJP have resorted to such a gimmick. These tactics were also utilised while addressing political rallies during elections. Similar comments were made by BJP leader from Uttar Pradesh, Ram Pratap Chauhan in Vijay Shankhnaad Rally in Agra on 21st November 2013 to felicitate Muzaffarnagar riots accused Sangeet Som and Suresh Rana.
