Three RSS sympathizers likely to bag coveted HRD honour

National Research Professorship, once held by the likes of Sir C V Raman, SN Bose, Mahasveta Devi, Bismillah Khan, Andre Beteille, Goverdhan Mehta, is likely to go to RSS sympathizers like writer-academician SL Bhyrappa, Ashok Gajanan Modak and Suryakant Bali.

Persons of eminence who have attained the age of 65 years and who have made outstanding contribution in their respective fields and are still capable of further productive research are considered for appointment as National Research Professors.
