The peace delegation led by Sri.Nanak Singh Nister , President ,COVA went to take stock of the situation at the Tandur, meeting people of both the communities and concern citizens. Mr.P.Mahesh & Mr.M.Srinivas from Human Rights Forum also joined the team.

The delegation arrived at a conclusion that the alleged happening at the Tandur was not deliberate but a few people have tried to communalise the situation for their own gains.

The team appeals to the Administration to deliver Justice quickly in the matter to control the situation should take stringent action against the culprits and punish them to deter from such activities. The team also request the Administration to ensure that the innocence are not being harassed unnecessarily and prevent unrest among the people of both communities.

In recent times in Hyderabad Communal elements have tried their best to play hate games desecrating religious places but could not succeed as the peace loving people of Hyderabad observed restrained and applied their wisdom not giving any space to such anti social elements.

We appeal to the people of Tandur and surroundings in particular and people all over in general to maintain peace and harmony and do not allow communal elements to exploit religious sentiment and tpo cooperate for peaceful celebration of Ganesh Festival.

Mohd Turab, Executive Secretary COVA, Naseer Siddiqui, Noor Jahan Siddiqui from COVA and Mr.P.Mahesh & Mr.M.Srinivas from Human Rights Forum were also in the team.
